Why So Much Of What Your Doctor Has Told You About Bone Loss Is Probably WRONG!
E-BOOK reveals why the standard tests and treatments for osteoporosis can do you more harm than good - and shows you the safe, natural way to build strong, healthy bones - no matter what your age!
If you've been diagnosed with osteoporosis, you have every right to be concerned...
Your possibility of suffering from a serious hip fracture has skyrocketed — and only increases the older you get.
And if you do break your hip, the statistics are not in your favor. Up to 25% of patients with hip fractures remain in the hospital or nursing home for a year or more.
Even worse, about 1-in-5 hip fracture patients die within the first year of their injury. As for the survivors, half have trouble performing normal daily activities for at least a year.
Hip fractures take a huge toll on your life and independence, so it's only natural for you to do everything you can to avoid them - even if it means following your doctor's advice to the
The problem is... when it comes to the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis, your doctor may be (unintentionally) steering you wrong. For example..
Bone density tests are not the full story
Your doctor is likely to use a bone scan machine to determine how dense your bones are. Here's why you need to take the results with a grain of salt...
Thinning bones do not always indicate osteoporosis — If you're older, a bone scan will probably detect a thinning of your bones. But that's normal with aging — and it doesn't necessarily mean you have osteoporosis. Thin bones can still be strong. A better test for osteoporosis would be to measure how brittle or fragile your bones are.
Bone density is not the same throughout your body — A high or low density reading in one area — such as your heel or lower spine, doesn't automatically mean you have similar density in more critical locations, like your hip or wrist where fractures are most likely to occur.
What you end up with is an incomplete picture of the health of your bones. And more than likely, your doctor will interpret the normal, age-related thinning of your bones as a sign of osteoporosis and insist you take bisphosphonate drugs like Etidronate and Fosamax.
Unfortunately, that could put your health at risk...
Bisphosphonate drugs can cause your bones to become brittle — and vulnerable
Yes, bisphosphonate drugs like Fosamax do help to improve your bone density. But there's no scientific evidence that these popular osteoporosis medicines prevent fractures.
Even worse, they've proven to often be more destructive than beneficial.
Aside from uncomfortable side effects — like musculoskeletal and abdominal pain... nausea... and heartburn — studies found that bisphosphonates nearly triple your risk of getting bone necrosis. That's a painful condition where your bones die from the lack of blood supply.
Bisphosphonates have been shown to cause death in bone tissues in your jawbone, shoulders, knees and hips. And once that bone tissue dies, there's no resurrecting it. The bone simply collapses.
To make matters even worse...
The high doses of calcium your doctor prescribes can seriously interfere with your bone and heart health
Most doctors recommend you take 1,200 to 1,500 milligrams of calcium every day for healthy bones. But studies are now showing that's much more than you need.
Researchers who compared past studies on calcium fractures from 1966 to 1999 found NO association between the amount of calcium women took and their risk of hip fractures.
That's right... NONE!
You see... your body simply cannot absorb large amounts of calcium at one time.
By taking too much calcium, you create imbalances in your body and increase your risk of arthritis, kidney stones and osteoporosis.
But that's not all...
Researchers in New Zealand found that taking too much calcium supplementation boosts your risk of having a heart attack by an amazing 86%!
